Services · What we do

Four disciplines, one quiet hand.

From the first measured drawing to the last fixed handle, we work across architecture, interiors and landscape — and advise where a clear early decision matters most. Each engagement is small, deliberate and led by a partner.

Architecture

Architecture

Ground-up homes, civic spaces and considered extensions — drawn first in graphite, then refined until every junction earns its place. We design for light, longevity and the slow pleasure of inhabiting a room.

  • Feasibility & site studies
  • Concept & planning drawings
  • Heritage & conservation work
  • Construction documentation

Interiors

Interiors

Rooms composed around material, ritual and the way a day moves through a house. We detail joinery, surfaces, lighting and the few objects that hold a life — restrained, tactile and built to age well.

  • Spatial planning & flow
  • Bespoke joinery & cabinetry
  • Material, finish & lighting
  • Furniture & styling curation

Landscape

Landscape

Gardens, courtyards and thresholds that let a building settle quietly into its ground and its season. We treat the line between inside and out as a room of its own — planted, paved and patient.

  • Garden & courtyard design
  • Planting & seasonal schemes
  • Hardscape & thresholds
  • Water & shade strategy

Consulting

Consulting

Feasibility, heritage guidance and material strategy for owners and developers at the earliest, formative stage — when a clear decision saves the most. We advise quietly, on the page and on the ground.

  • Feasibility & massing studies
  • Heritage & planning advice
  • Material & cost strategy
  • Design review & second opinion

How we work

A measured process, from first walk to final handle.

01

Discover

We begin on site, in silence — measuring light, sound and habit, and listening to how you want to live before a single line is drawn.

02

Concept

Ideas are tested in graphite and physical models. We present a clear, considered direction — and the reasoning behind every move.

03

Develop

The design is detailed to the millimetre: materials specified, junctions resolved, and a small circle of trusted makers brought into the room.

04

Deliver

We stay on site through construction, protecting the intent of the drawing until the building is quietly, completely yours.

A note on engagement

“We charge as a percentage of construction cost for architecture, and on a fixed fee for interiors, landscape and consulting. Every commission opens with a paid feasibility study — a small, honest first step before either of us commits to the whole.”

Questions

Before you write to us.

A few things clients tend to ask first. If yours isn't here, a short call usually answers it.

Ask us directly
How many projects do you take on at once?

A handful each year — rarely more than five concurrently. Working small is a deliberate choice: it means the partners stay close to every drawing and every site visit.

Do you work outside the region?

Yes. Most of our work sits within a half-day of the studio, but we travel for the right project. Landscape and consulting engagements often begin remotely with a feasibility study.

Can we engage you for interiors only?

Often. We are happy to take on interiors and joinery for an existing building, or to consult on a scheme already underway with another architect.

What is your typical timeline?

A full architecture commission usually runs eighteen to thirty months from first sketch to handover. Interiors and landscape are quicker. We never rush the early thinking.

We take on only a few commissions each year. If yours might be one of them, a quiet conversation is the right place to start.
